Renovation Projects

Traditional Renovation

This magnificent heritage home nestled on a large block in the leafy suburbs of Shenton Park needed to conform to the needs of a 21st century family with four children. From the outside we embraced the beauty of the traditional design and charm, while on the inside we transformed the common areas into a contemporary but warm space for the family to enjoy.

Looking at the house as a finished product you would never guess that it had been extended at all.

A Traditional Blend

In keeping with the traditional style of this beautiful old home we extended the living areas concentrating on keeping the additions as close to the original as possible. In doing so, we embraced its existing character and blended old and traditional in with new and contemporary. The extension was carried out during winter and this bought with it challenges. We had to ensure that the timber floors were kept in good condition despite the wet weather.

Stainless steel appliances compliment the crisp, continental white cupboards and bench tops. Built in lighting underneath the cupboards adds that extra warmth and brightness to the kitchen. Timber flooring is continued from the kitchen to the living areas. A formal upstairs sitting room decorated in soft pastel colours and old fire place embraces the traditional feel of the home. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms complete the upstairs area.

Client / Testimonial

We were overjoyed with the result and could not be happier..."
