Heritage Renovation

As the builder, we were challenged with the task of breathing life back into a run down former pride and joy in Fremantle.

Our aim was to enhance the existing remaining charm and character, while providing the owners with modern convenience and an edge of their own.

Design & Built by Tooltime

The challenge was to turn a run down three room heritage listed cottage into a modern home suitable for a large family. We were most happy to not only enable the build, but we also designed this extensive renovation as well.

After a period of enabling the design through to council approval, which had its challenges and took nearly 12 months, we began. We revived and reinvigorated this dilapidated turn of the century cottage into a modern, contemporary warehouse-feel home for the owners. With open spaces that bely the meagre 300 sqm block it is built on.

Raw steel, polished concrete, timber joinery, heated floors, ducted air conditioning and electric roof windows are just some of the features that make this a dream home to live in.

Affectionally know as the 'Tardis" this classic cottage from the front packs some real punch as soon as you open the front door.

Client / Testimonial

"So happy with not only the design, but the completed build as well. Tooltime were a joy in what turned out to be somewhat of a challenge getting the design we wanted, getting it through council and then turning it into our home.

We are so happy with the result and are gratified we had the foresight to engage Tooltime who made everything almost easy."
